The last day of school was now underway. I walk across the stage to graduate. I walk back home, I'm all alone, I turn my thoughts to you. This "home sweet home" is no such thing. Since you left, we've been struggling. This fractured timeline just won't quit. I think it's time I made my exit. I'm drifting forward in time, and I wonder if this face my mom would recognize? I hope that she's proud of me today. On New Year's Eve I can't help but pray and thank your god for another day. It's not my way, but I can't delay. I learned this all from you. My own sons are growing far too much. You would have loved to love them, I trust. I hope you hear me where you are. I hope I see you when I'm gone.
